Diamyd Medical's lead drug candidate, Diamyd, is designed for treatment for both Type I (end of Phase II) and LADA Type 2 diabetes (Phase II). Other developments include a proprietary Nerve Targeted Drug Delivery System to deliver genes coding for the GAD or Enkephalin to treat diabetes pain and neuropathy (pre-clinical phase).
